After 8 weeks in a row on three different National Airplay Top Charts in The US Maini & Magneto Dayo – Blue Song was #6 on National Airplay Top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and # 10 on National Airplay Top 50 Independent Chart last week. It was #165 National Airplay Top200 Chart for all genres from gospel to Hip-Hop.

Because Blue Song was on National Airplay Top Charts a couple of weeks also in June, it has been on Top Charts almost the whole Summer.

Throughout the Summer many radio stations have reported more than 100 airplays a week!

Maini & Magneto Dayo – Blue Song is now for a second week on three different National Airplay Top Charts in The US, and it’s climbing higher! Blue Song was last week #9 on National Airplay Top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and # 16 on National Airplay Top 50 Independent Chart. Blue Song has also climbed on National Airplay Top200 Chart and was #135 last week. Top200 Chart contains all genres from gospel to Hip-Hop.

Radio stations in different states in the US report a huge amount of weekly radio airplays, several of them more than 100 airplays a week with a top of 111 reported radio airplays during last week. It means an airplay every 90th minute.

A very exciting new single is released on June 9th 2014! Maini and the American rapper Magneto Dayo from Brooklyn, New York have released their first collaboration Blue Song. Dashawn Dayo Williams, better known by his stage name Magneto Dayo, contacted Maini and suggested a collaboration.

Magneto Dayo has written songs for some of today’s top artists in rap/hiphop and r&b and now plans to step from behind the scenes and show his talent.

Maini’s clear voice, Magneto Dayo’s brilliant rap and Gary Cornman‘s great lyrics blend together and create a perfect summer hit.

Maini has, as always, written the music. The remix is by Carsten Lehmann from Germany. The label behind the release is Reya music from Sweden.

Read this great review by LA Music Examiner in LA, USA: “Moira” is the new single by Finnish singer-songwriter Maini Sorri and Jörgen Hansson. Backed with “Moira (Instrumental Version)”, this is the most recent example of the Sweden-based Sorri’s pop signature sound. Writing since age 8, Sorri has had some time to polish her tuneful trademark performing her songs live as well as on TV and radio.

Released mere days ago “Moira” not only reveals her previous vocal training but also demonstrates she must have paid attention when she was a student of music theory and composition. It’s got a new yet not at all foreign sound to it. Sorri was happy to shed some light on the subject.

“Moira’ is a song about my young fan Moira. I gained her as a devoted fan when I sang at Swedish radio’s Song contest in Axevalla, Sweden. I told (American) Gary Cornman about the sweet six year old girl Moira and he surprised me by writing a poem about her that I then composed”. It was later remixed by Jörgen Hansson who also sang background vocals.

The second track is a simply the underlying instrumental. It allows the listener to focus on the actual music composition. The single’s recently released accompanying music video was directed by W.A. Henderson and stars Cindy Clark both from Hollywood, Los Angeles. If it works with audiences as well as some of her previous work it will soon be on radio playlists in Sweden, Finland, the UK, the US, Spain and other countries.
