Maini profile pic Hold meMaini Sorri is a Swedish-Finnish singer, musician and songwriter living in Sweden. She has composed music since she was 8 years. Her first compositions were for the piano, but as a songwriter and a singer she made her breakthrough. Maini writes music and lyrics under a strong inspiring spirit. Her songs are like her children and she wish that they get wings and fly around the world.

Maini Sorri’s Silent Night, the rocking version of the traditional Christmas song “Silent Night” is re-released on December 21st 2022.

Maini Sorri’s happy pop single Tomorrow is released on November 11th 2021. A local newspaper in her old home town in Finland interviewed her for 15 years ago. Years later the interviewer Marjo Pajuranta surprised Maini by sending a poem to her and asked her to compose it. Because the poem was in Finnish, Maini wrote English lyrics to it. The Finnish original version “Kauneimmat muistot” is included as #2 on the single. Instrumental by Jaakko Viitala.

Maini has a new exciting collaboration with the female Music Producer Star Aubrey Whitfield from London, UK. She has worked with X-factor, the American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson and many more, on labels like EMI, Sony, Universal etc. The new single is energetic and uplifting, although the story about missing someone.

Maini has 2 songs in the book Rock on Neon Radio’s Top 1000 Songs Of All Time. The radio station has about 50,000 songs to choose from placing Maini’s song in the top 2% of the music available to be played on the station which plays music from established artists and independent artists. The songs in the book are Please Go Away from her album When Two Worlds Meet with Magneto Dayo, the pop ballade Someday from her latest album Someday Vol. 3. Her songs are in the book along with songs by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Simon & Garfunkel etc.

Maini Sorri - Someday Volume 3 Album Front Cover - Normal SizeMaini Sorri’s compilation album Someday Vol. 3, full of harmony driven melodic songs that tell stories of love and heartbreak in equal measure, is released on June 3rd 2019. It consists of Maini’s pop songs that are recorded during a decade. Most of the songs are previously released on different albums and singles, but there is also an all-new song titled Love Bubble, with lyrics by Barbro Norberg.

The title track Someday endured 43 weeks on Music World Radio’s Top 20 Charts in Spain; among rock groups from America and Europe including several weeks spent at number 1 and almost 40 weeks amongst the top 5. The lyrics of Someday were originally written in Finnish, as several songs on the album. The legendary Swedish Finnish singer and songwriter Barbara Helsingius wrote English lyrics to them.

Awoken Heartbroken stayed 15 weeks on DRT National Airplay Top Charts in the US with up to four different Top Charts simultaneously, among them National Top 200 and Top 50 Rock Chart. Gary Cornman, USA, has written the lyrics to Awoken Heartbroken and several other the songs on the album. Music is written by Maini Sorri.

Barbro Norberg sent to Maini her beautiful poem about the longing after her Dad that passed away, and asked Maini to compose it. It suits well to release this single before November 3rd when people in Sweden celebrate All Saints’ Day, and remember relatives and friends that have passed away. Music is written by Maini Sorri.

Maini Sorri’s rock/dance album Bring Me Home released on September 20th 2018. It is co-produced by Maini Sorri - Bring Me HomeBrian Lanese and Orlando Mestre in the USA, all instruments are performed and recorded by Orlando Mestre, while the music is written by Maini and lyrics by Gary Cornman from the USA and the label is Reya music from Sweden. All songs on the album, except the title song Bring Me Home, have previously been released as singles. Lost Love (Dance Remix) climbed on two national DRT Toplists for 5000+ radio stations in June 2015. Lost Love is featured amongst the incredible 50 song soundtrack in the stunning videogame The Metronomicon.

Bring Me Home is based on a true story that Maini told Gary Cornman from USA. Gary, the lyricist of all the songs on the album, surprised Maini by writing a poem about her adventure that Maini then composed.

Maini Sorri - When Two Worlds Meet Album Front Cover - Normal SizeMaini Sorri and American rapper Magneto Dayo have returned to collaborate on an entire album comprising of 10 songs that fuses their respective genres of pop, hiphop and rock together. The album features all-new songs including Long Live the King and When Two Worlds Meet complimented by remixes of songs such as Oh Echo, Please Go Away and Shiny Eyes that are individually by Magneto Dayo and Maini Sorri through introducing each musician into one another’s songs; hence the title When Two Worlds Meet, alongside the inclusion of their two previous singles Blue Song and Second Chance. There are also two solo tracks including Museum of Bass by Magneto Dayo and Lost Love by Maini Sorri on When Two Worlds Meet that was released on May 23rd 2018.

The Metronomicon Slay the Dance Floor Front CoverMaini Sorri’s song Lost Love is featured amongst the incredible 50 song soundtrack in the stunning videogame The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor which makes its debut on home consoles courtesy of Akupara Games for PS4 on August 29th 2017 and Xbox One on August 30th 2017 digitally via PlayStation Store and Xbox Live respectively. Slay the Dance Floor is an expanded version of The Metronomicon which massively increases the quantity of replay value by introducing local multiplayer into every mode, a new playable character, a new endless mode, new and reworked challenges and new ability types. The Metronomicon is an imaginative mixture of dance rhythm, action and role playing game genres developed by Puuba Games and published by Kasedo Games which officially released digitally via Steam for PC and Mac on September 29th 2016, alongside an accompanying soundtrack album.

It is Maini’s second collaboration with the American rapper Magneto Dayo from Brooklyn. Magneto Dayo was one of the most promising new artists on the huge Pandora Radio in 2015 with almost a million radio plays during his first month. The music has been written by Carsten Lehmann from Germany with lyrics by Maini Sorri and Magneto Dayo and is released by the label Reya music from Sweden. Second Chance made it to DRT National Airplay Top Charts and stayed on Top 80 Independent Chart in 8 weeks and Top 200 Chart for 4 weeks during Spring 2016.

Maini’s rock single Never Said Goodbye was released on October 26th 2015. Maini Sorri - Lost LoveMaini’s two singles Lost Love and Lost Love (Dance Remix) were released on June 15th 2015. Brian Lanese, a three time Emmy Award Winner and Grammy Nominee from Los Angeles found Maini’s music on the internet, wrote a message and wished to produce her next records. Brian Lanese is the singer, writer and producer of five time 1st round ballot Grammy Nominated rock band Permanent Ability and has Mark Twain as a famous ancestor.

Lost Love (Dance Remix) stayed 12 weeks on DRT National Airplay Top Charts.

Lost Love music video was released on October 8th 2015 and is directed by W.A. Henderson from Hollywood, Los Angeles and stars Tearra Oso from Los Angeles.

Maini - Silent NightMaini’s Christmas rock single Silent Night was re-released on December 10th 2014 to celebrate the time of Christmas with a rocking remix of the traditional Christmas song having originally released on December 19th 2013 by the label Reya music from Sweden. The beautiful Christmassy Silent Night music video is directed by W.A. Henderson from Hollywood, Los Angeles and stars Michelle Perez from Los Angeles.

Maini’s rock single Awoken Heartbroken (Remixes) was released on December 1st 2014. It contains a Rock Remix and a Metal Remix of Maini’s previous single Awoken Heartbroken. The music is written by Maini and lyrics by Gary Cornman from the USA with a remix by Patrik Ragnefors from Sweden and the label is Reya music from Sweden.

Maini Sorri and Magneto Dayo - Blue SongMaini and Magneto Dayo’s first collaboration Blue Song was released on June 9th 2014. Dashawn Dayo Williams, better known by his stage name Magneto Dayo, contacted Maini and suggested a collaboration. Magneto Dayo is a rapper from Brooklyn who has written songs for some of today’s top artists in the rap/hip-hop and R&B genres and now plans to step out from behind the scenes and show his talent. Blue Song made it to several National Airplay Top Charts in the US and stayed on Top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop, Top 50 Independent and Top 200 Chart for 9 weeks in a row during summer 2014.

Maini and Magneto Dayo’s Blue Song music video was released on June 17th 2014, comprising of a road movie style with pictures from Florida and is directed by Johan Zetterlund from Sweden. The music has been written by Maini Sorri with lyrics by Gary Cornman from the USA and Magneto Dayo and is released by the label Reya music from Sweden.

Maini Sorri - MoiraMaini Sorri and Jörgen Hansson‘s pop single Moira was released on March 3rd 2014. Moira is a song about Maini’s young fan Moira. Maini gained her as a devoted fan when she sang at Swedish radio Sisuradio’s Song contest in Sweden. Maini Sorri and Jörgen Hansson’s Moira music video was released on March 4th 2014 with a charming video directed by W.A. Henderson from Hollywood, Los Angeles and starring Cindy Clark from Hollywood, Los Angeles. The Moira video was aired on a large number of TV shows in USA, among them City Style Music Presents, while it was also added to Pulse TV Network and PC Music’s video pool that provides music to hotels, casinos and retail outlets in America and Europe.

Maini’s Just A Dream (Radio Edit) music video was released on January 13th 2014. The video was produced by W.A. Henderson from Hollywood, Los Angeles and Johan Zetterlund from Sweden. The beautiful video stars Adam Suzuki and Chelsea Militano from Los Angeles and Maini Sorri. It was a featured video at Mixshowblast.com in Los Angeles in January 2014.

Maini Sorri - Just A Dream (Remixes)Maini’s dance single Just A Dream (Remixes) was released on November 11th 2013. Just A Dream (Remixes) contains six different versions of Just A Dream. For the first time Maini collaborates with her promoter in Hollywood, Trilogy. Just A Dream (Trilogy Dreamix) is a faster and more electronic version than Just A Dream (Radio Edit) that is inspired by 70s disco and is produced by Carsten Lehmann from Germany.

Maini’s Just A Dream (Trilogy Dreamix) music video is directed by Johan Zetterlund from Sweden. It made it to many TV stations in the USA, while it was also added to rotation at Bowling Music Network and was a featured video at Mixshowblast.com in Los Angeles during December 2013 having also debuted at #10 on the Pulse TV Network.

Maini’s EP Dreamworld with 5 pop ballads was released on October 31st 2011 by Reya music. Maini has written the music, theSomeday Vol 2 cd artwork lyrics are by Gary Cornman (#1 and #3) and the original lyrics are by Mikko Anttila (#2), Ritva Ala-Särkelä (#4) and Ritva Östlin (#5). The famous Finnish artist Barbara Helsingius has written English lyrics for #2, 4 and 5. It was promoted by Trilogy in the USA.

Maini’s album Someday: Vol. 2 with 10 pop ballads was released on November 14th 2011 by Reya music.

Maini signed 3 record deals for 272 Records in Los Angeles for her songs I Shouldn’t Have Trusted You, Like An Angel and Dreamworld. These songs were released in August 2011 on Acoustica Vol. 26 and September 2011 on Acoustica Vol. 27.

Maini’s album Someday was released by Reya music on March 1st 2010. It was on radio playlists in New York, California, Texas, Tennessee, New Jersey, Ohio, Nevada, Delaware, Rhode Island and also in Winnipeg, Canada and in Barcelona, Spain. Maini was also added to Women Radio’s playlist in the USA. Maini debuted at #84 on the Top Radio Airplay Charts in the USA in September 2010. Maini has written multiple songs with lyrics by Gary Cornman from the USA. Maini’s songs have been on radio playlists in Sweden, Finland, Latvia, UK, USA, Spain and more countries. Maini is also featured on several compilation CDs with Swedish and Finnish artists.

Maini has a band SORRISO with John Baumann from Milan, Italy. John found her on the global online radio station Last.FM. Sorriso is an Italian word that means smile. Maini and John’s voices blend together to produce a unique harmony. Sorriso’s second single Special Friend was released by Reya music on May 17th 2011. It has got hundreds of radio plays in the UK and has been played on radio in Canada and on TV6 in the USA.

Hiding Place was on Music World Radio’s Top 20 Chart for 19 weeks, while Hiding Place has been on Viker Raadio’s playlist in Estonia and Radio Dei’s playlist in Finland. Hiding Place has been aired several times on Swedish radio station P4.

Maini’s Christmas EP Christmas In Our Hearts was released in Sweden in December 2006 and in the UK on November 29th 2010.

Maini’s Finnish/Swedish Album Jäit tuoksuna minuun/Din doft stannade kvar (Your Fragrance Forever Stays with Me) was released on March 11th 2006.
