\"Final<\/a>Thank you all for all feedback about my previous\u00a0blog post\u00a0about picking songs to Swedish National Election of ESC Melodifestivalen<\/a>.\u00a0Most of you agreed and many of you had\u00a0guessed long ago that the rules are not followed.<\/p>\n

I think that the most important thing is\u00a0 that SVT<\/a> tells\u00a0everybody what the real rules are,\u00a0as I wrote in my previous blog post. It is not a human right\u00a0that anybody can send their song to the competition.\u00a0 SVT can choose to do the selection in whatever way they want to. But it is much better to tell us how things are and not pretend that\u00a0the songs are\u00a0picked according to the rules. It is obvious that\u00a0some of the composers and artists are picked before they even sent in their demos. In Finland it is the same but\u00a0there\u00a0the\u00a0record companies choose artists and suitable songs for them.<\/p>\n

We\u00a0that are not satisfied with how things\u00a0work should disagree loud and clear.\u00a0Maybe there will be an opinion that forces SVT to\u00a0begin to follow the rules.\u00a0It\u00a0is also\u00a0important to limit how many times the same composers and artists\u00a0are allowed to\u00a0compeat, as a wise blog comment to my previous blog post suggested.<\/p>\n

Soon is time to pick songs for\u00a0ESC 2010\u00a0and it is really time for a change. Why is it so difficult to let in new composers and artists? SVT and Christer Bj\u00f6rkman<\/a>, let\u00a0the new ones\u00a0suprise you! There could be a new Carola <\/a>knocking on the door.\u00a0Open the door for new talents, both artists and songwriters, and you will see that the competition\u00a0will get a fresh start and the winner of\u00a0Melodifestivalen will be able to suprise Europe again!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
