They let us\u00a0know that the information from SVT\u00a0about that anyone can send\u00a0a song to the Swedish National Election of ESC\u00a0<\/strong><\/a> is just a fake.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You\u00a0have not just to be a wellknown composer, the artist that sings your song on the demo must\u00a0be famous, too.\u00a0 Fredrik Kempe<\/strong> <\/a>told on Culture News that\u00a0when he\u00a0and Henrik Wikstr\u00f6m sent their song\u00a0Cara Mia<\/a><\/strong> to the\u00a0contest for the first time it was sung by\u00a0an unknown artist.\u00a0The song\u00a0was not\u00a0selected by the jury. When\u00a0they sent\u00a0in\u00a0Cara Mia\u00a0sang by\u00a0M\u00e5ns Zelmerl\u00f6w<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0the song\u00a0was chosen by the jury to the Swedish National\u00a0 selection of ESC Melodifestivalen<\/a><\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

According to the Culture News\u00a0 the thing that happened Marie Lindberg<\/a><\/strong>, an unknown artist\u00a0singing her song right into listeners hearts\u00a0 and becoming famous over night,\u00a0is never going to\u00a0happen on Melodifestivalen<\/em> any more on. It is really sad!<\/p>\n

They also\u00a0told that famous artists now\u00a0queue to participate in the contest because it gives them so much attention. Unknown artists have really no chance to be picked by the jury these days.\u00a0\u00a0It’s really a pity that those magic moments\u00a0 when a new unknown artist touch\u00a0our heart and gives\u00a0us something new won’t happen any more. It is very much repetition this year,\u00a0we have heard the artists \u00a0before and the composers\u00a0write melodies that are very much alike the songs\u00a0by them that we heard before.<\/p>\n

According the rules all the songs that people sent in are going to be judged, first by Swedish Music Publishers, then by a judge group from Swedish Television (SVT).\u00a0 I know the rules because\u00a0I have\u00a0sent songs to the competition two years in a row now. The composer and the lyricist\u00a0must send in an\u00a0application form with\u00a0their names\u00a0to\u00a0 SVT together with the AudioCD. The application form\u00a0\u00a0has to\u00a0be\u00a0sent in a separate sealed envelope and is NOT\u00a0going to\u00a0be opened before the songs already have been selected by the jury.<\/strong> Otherwize the song will be disqualified.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0accuse the judge from SVT\u00a0of breaking this\u00a0rule\u00a0all the time!\u00a0\u00a0The composers that participate are the same all the time, it is a small group of composers and it is obvious that Christer Bj\u00f6rkman<\/a><\/strong> have ordered songs from them. In the competition for 10 days ago, Sarah Dawn Finer<\/strong> <\/a>and\u00a0Malena Ernman<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0were duelling against each other\u00a0but both songs were by Fredrik Kempe that\u00a0is a fulltime composer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So, it is obvius. The composer must be wellknown and the artist must be wellknown, too, otherwize you can just save your many for the postage of your song.<\/p>\n

I really think that there are lack of great melodies on the competition this year, it is becoming more and more obvious each and every year.\u00a0 The same composers\u00a0 cannot vary themselves in\u00a0style and\u00a0melodys so much.\u00a0 Christer Bj\u00f6rkman defended himself on Culture News by saying that\u00a0 amateur composers\u00a0cannot compete with the professional composers. He is so right, they cannot, because they are not allowed!<\/strong><\/p>\n

SVT must tell us now what the real rules are. They are not the rules\u00a0I got from SVT.\u00a0\u00a0At least\u00a0the rules\u00a0are not followed.\u00a0\u00a0SVT has to tell\u00a0everybody that the rules\u00a0are just\u00a0a fake, and let’s see what Swedish people think about that! I think that most of us want have more variety,\u00a0 more new composers and new artists,\u00a0songs that touch our hearts instead of hit-machines that are so alike each other.<\/p>\n
